Successful Planning Appeal at Lamberton

Scottish Borders Council’s Local Review Body has overturned the planning department’s decision to refuse permission for a dwelling overlooking the Border crossing on the A1 just north of Berwick-upon-Tweed.  Acting for local couple Malcolm and Ann Pearson, who currently live in Spain, Smith & Garratt presented evidence demonstrating the existence of a rural building group at Lamberton, and showing the proposed dwelling would make a positive addition to it, without impact on the ruin of Lamberton Church – a Scheduled Ancient Monument.  The Pearsons were delighted, saying, “Once again, thank you so much.  We could not have succeeded without your guidance and expertise”.
